A Hotbed of Terror

... and while I'm on the topic, who do you suppose the residents of Ein el-Hilweh -- the terror base refugee camp which is currently protecting the Fatah al-Islam thugs -- are protesting?

Artillery and machine gun fire echoed around the Nahr el-Bared refugee camp for a third straight day Tuesday, while angry Palestinians burned car tires in two other camps in an ominous sign that the trouble could spread across Lebanon. Yep, you guessed it. It's obviously the Lebanese Army's fault that the locals are protecting the terrorists. Nice to see that Mohammed Zaatari managed to make it past the Lebanese road block, in order to fully capture and share the terrorist's point of view...

Oh, I just noticed, keep in mind that this "artillery and machine gun fire" is echoing through the refugee camp... after the cease-fire "went into" effect. Did I call that right, or what?

:-)

UPDATE: Yep, just as I suspected: Mohammed Zaatari has embedded himself with the enemy. For the first time in this current conflict, we get to see the TERRORIST'S point-of-view, thanks to our SEDITIOUS Associated Press:

I'll be tracking Mohammed's updates beyond the fold, and will eagerly await more sedition from our photographic corps.

Updated:

I am tracking Day 2 of this "cease-fire" in a new thread. Be sure to check out the latest series of Lebanese "atrocities" against these "innocent" civilians terror-supporters.

Still More Principled

This little girl has far more integrity than the entire Media establishment, as it exists today. My hat is off to her for showing the courage to try and deny the media the propaganda they so desperately seek.

An Israeli girl prevents photographers from taking pictures of her slightly wounded grandmother at the scene of a rocket attack in the southern city of Sderot May 20, 2007. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert threatened stronger Israeli military action in the Gaza Strip unless Hamas halted its rocket attacks on southern Israel. REUTERS/Yonathan Weitzman (ISRAEL)

Notice how Yonathan, who is obviously looking for a ratings-driven photograph of someone else's suffering, so confidently asserts that this girl's grandmother is only slightly wounded?

I guess he minored in medicine in school, huh?

For the record, here's another fine example of the crocodile tears that propagandists 'round the world love to show you:

Anatomy of a Palestinian Funeral

Here's yet another instance of what I like to call "selective" truth:—We're presented initially, via our intrepid (by which I mean "totally uninquisitive") photographers, with news that a man was found dead, shot somewhere in the Gaza Strip. This, as far as anyone can tell, is true. Cue: crocodile tears.

We're also told, via captional inference, that the Israelis are being blamed for this shooting. Hello, conjecture.

Finally, we're told that, according to Israeli records, no soldiers were in the area at the time. Enter, truth.

This type of thing happens far more often than you'd ever think, yet time and time again, the press falls for the immediate blame-da-JEWSism spewed at them by the hostile locals and repeats the claims unquestioned. And time and time again, when the facts come in, the inital storyline is almost always shown to be false.

Are the collective press acting as ignorant dupes, merely parroting what they're told by "local" sources? If so, why do we even bother having a press, since they can't be trusted to report information that is, well, factual.

If they're not ignorant dupes, then the only other option I can think of is far worse:—Are they actively involved in trying to find stories that they can use to smear Israel?

Check out the extended article to see the evolution of the captions surrounding this story. By my count, the press continues to fall farther and farther into the latter category each passing day. Continue reading »

Selective Outrage Syndrome, Day 2

Protests are heating up in the Middle East, now that the despotic governments there can begin redirecting their citizens' anger at Israel. See here for Day 1 coverage, and see here to learn some background about similar events which evoked absolutely no protest, from either "Palestinians" or their sycophantic supporters in the press.

[Ed.: Just another violent protest... of peace.] Palestinians throw stones at Israeli soldiers during a protest against Israeli excavations near the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the West bank city of Bethlehem February 6, 2007. Israeli excavation work on Tuesday near an entrance to a compound in Jerusalem that houses the al-Aqsa mosque drew Palestinian protests and Israeli assurances the dig would not harm Islam's third holiest shrine. REUTERS/Eliana Aponte (WEST BANK)

To sum it up: Wantonly destroying artifacts underneath the Temple Mount? Neither newsworthy nor objectionable.

Attempting to preserve these artifacts before they're destroyed by a wholly unnecessary walkway? THOSE EVIL JOOS!

The "Palestinians," and their SHAMELESS cheerleaders in the press, sicken me. As usual, you'll find a comprehensive set of photographs illustrating this selective outrage following the break. Continue reading »

Still embedded with extremists

It's good to see that AP fauxtographer Mohammed Ballas is still deeply embedded with homicidal maniacs.

The looming Palestinian civil war

Only a complete idiot would blame Israel for this.
It would appear that Hamas and Fatah are currently fighting over who will hold all of the reins in the Palestinian Territories. Much like competing mafia groups, neither is anything remotely "democratic," so whomever ends up in control of the PLC is most likely slated to be replaced by the next mob.

This is just more proof of the obvious—Israel has nothing to do with the "destitution" of the Palestinian people. Their situation is one entirely of their own making, and will quickly be improved, once they stop supporting the crooks who do stuff like you see in this photograph.

Don't expect this little newsflash to be picked up by the myopic press any time soon, though. For the first time ever, I'm sure they're actually stretching to come up with a reason to blame Israel for this mess.

Stay tuned - I'll be collecting all of the photographs here as the day progresses.

Wire Coverage: Associated Press, Reuters, NYT/IHT, USA Today

My absolute favorite article on this story is from marxist.com. Wait until you find out who THEY think the villain is! (More importantly, how is "marxist.com" considered a credible source to put on Yahoo! News? If they make the cut, shouldn't Snapped Shot?)

Update 13:48 EST: Disturbingly Yellow has a rather humorous take on these events.

Crocodile tears

Crocodile tears.
This morning, we're treated to reports of yet another "Zionist massacre," this time in Bethlehem. As is usual, it was quickly followed by a media-driven, openly wailing funeral.

The one question that nobody in the press sees fit to ask?

"Why was this boy hanging around with armed terrorists?"

No surprise, as usual. Will the press ever question its role as shameless propagandists for terrorist groups?

Check the full article for the entire photo sequence, including additional illustrations of Palestinian human shields in action. Continue reading »
