Always Watching the All-Seeing Eye

Musical Interlude

I'm a bit tied up this morning, but hope to start getting caught up with what's going on today whenever lunchtime gets here. Until then, here's another peek into the life of Brian—The song "spiral" from L'arc~en~Ciel's 2008 release, "Kiss." Can you imagine how much peppier the world would be if this song was your standard-issue hold music?

I've posted a pretty awesome drum cover, of course, so as to not offend Sony's copyright enforcers. This is done according to Brian's newfound Rule #1 of the Internet: Never Anger Corporations!

Jaws V: The Great White Shock

Heck, it looks more interesting than most of the Jaws franchise:

Happy Monday, Y'all!

Remember that Sudanese cartoon-jihad protest from a few weeks back? It looks like some program over in Denmark the Netherlands has been having a little bit of fun with it:

The country's been fixed. Sorry for being such a dummy, and thanks to Max for the correction! :-)

Musical Interlude

My apologies for the silence around here—Things have been extremely busy over here yet again. I hope to have an exciting announcement or two within the next few days (if all goes well), but until then, I'm afraid the blogging will be off-again, on-again—and mostly the former.

To tide you over until I can get back into the swing of things, I'd like to share this modern acid rock ballad, again from Japanese über-shredder Akira Takasaki. His latest solo album is what I'm listening to right now (thanks again, bro!), so I figure I might as well pass it along for you to enjoy, too.

While this song is not the gentle melodies of a carbon-fiber guitar, it will definitely act as a better substitute for coffee:

Happy (Early) Monday, Y'all!

I know it's a bit early for one of these, but I have a feeling that the legal department over at the Associated Press is going to be needing it first thing in the morning:

Ironically enough, this video doesn't just illustrate how not to roll a ginormous spool of cable up a set of stairs; it also does a mighty fine job of simulating this legal action using simple physics.

Hope you enjoy, Priti!

Happy Friday, Y'all!

YMCA is one of those songs that was pretty awful in its original form, but increases in hilarity when translated into foreign languages. I highlighted this phenomenon when the Finns did it earlier, but that doesn't even come close to how awesome this version is:

I am truly in awe!

I Just Can Not Stop

... singing this goofy song [nsfw for bad language; h/t Bashman, also nsfw]. Maybe it's because of the problems with the latest production server deployment here at the office? ;-)

For some odd reason, I have a feeling that Tipper Gore would have a conniption at this masterpiece—which is why it's very good that the band (or some other random fan) has so helpfully put together a Tipper-friendly version:

I can't re-iterate enough—If you aren't fond of Marine Corps–grade foul language, please don't bother clicking on any of the links in this article. ;-)

Happy Monday, Y'all!

Japan: Killing cockroaches... with style:

I'm definitely going to put a styin' yellow suit on my Christmas wish list. ;-)

Happy Friday, Y'all!

Here's a good DIY tip for you:—Always have large trees removed professionally:

As a bonus, here's the most amusing incarnation of "We Are the World" that I've ever seen. And don't bother asking—Of course it comes from Japan.

Musical Interlude

Things might still be a bit busy around here, so here's a little musical entertainment for you. Just in case.

I ran across this song on one of the FlyTunes radio stations, and while it's just a touch different than my usual fare, I think it's well worth it. So, without further ado, Zwei:

For my handful of European readers, I offer a translation. Hope it's a bit easier to understand! ;-)

Happy Tuesday, Y'all!

Sorry for being so busy today—We're rolling a system into production over the next week, so things may be a bit sporadic until things are running more smoothly at the office.

Until I have more time to devote to you, I present what could quite possibly be the most awesome computer ad, ever:

All I can say is, sign me up for five!

Quick bugfix—I just noticed that some sites have problems with punctuation in our URLs here (most frequently "!" and ";"). I've taken a second to hack Serendipity to strip that nastiness out, so hopefully y'all will have an easier time copying and pasting ye olde links around. (h/t Mindstorm for pointing out the little glitch)

Happy Tuesday, Y'all!

Two raspberries and a half a cheer for being busy with real work. I can't even believe that I missed Fidel "The Corpse" Castro's big announcement, too! Argh! I'm betting that he'll "officially" be announced as muerte by the end of March, incidentally.

Ah well—Until I have time to get back into my regular schedule, here's a delightful little jab at Windows Vista, with mucho thanko to the Good Lieutenant. Mild language warning:

Hahaha, it looks like I've gotten pwned this time. Someone called "Blimp TV" has claimed a copyright violation on the above video, so it no longer works. For what it's worth, I didn't post the original copy—but I'm sure if you search "Vista Sucks," you might be able to find an alternate copy or two.

Oof, I'm gonna feel that in the morning... (Oh wait, it is morning! In that case, ouch.)

(Many thanks to you Linkopotamus readers for pointing this little issue out.. I guess my mystical Zionist rays aren't working as well as usual!)

Update: Thanks to Linkopotamus reader annie for sending the BlimpTV link. I've embedded their player this time, so if it doesn't work, please forward all hate-mail their way.

Well, unless you have any of my regular hate-mail. That you're still welcome to share over here. ;-)

Happy Monday, Y'all!

Or rather, happy belated Friday to ya! Let's just say that this little gem should be filed under "probably not the brightest idea in the world:"

ROFL: Ramattan gets pwned by Ramattan?

Wow, any of y'all see anything wrong with this picture?

It's a party, eh?

The Elder has more, and notes correctly that the image is locally-hosted. This just might be a sure-fire sign that Ramattan shouldn't be pulling random pictures off of the internet. Or it could just mean they need another English-language editor or two.

(I could swear that I saw that graphic somewhere else within the past week on one of Ye Parody Sites, but can't seem to find it at the moment. If any of y'all can place it, be sure to chime in down here.)
