One great Muslim lie is that non-Muslims fair much better in an Islamic land than Muslims fair in non-Muslim lands.

Last I checked, Muslims in the West were free to practice their so-called faith without the fear of attacks or reprisals. Muslims in the West are able to don traditional Islamic garb, gather in Mosques, and even organize protests which call for violence against all infidels - all without the concern of persecution or repercussions.

So, how do the "protected" people - or dhimmis - fair in a Muslim country? Not very well, it seems:

Just over half a century ago, Iraq’s Jews numbered more than 130,000. But now, in the city that was once the community’s heart, they cannot muster even a minyan, the 10 Jewish men required to perform some of the most important rituals of their faith. They are scared even to publicize their exact number, which was recently estimated at seven by the Jewish Agency for Israel, and at eight by one Christian cleric. That is not enough to read the Torah in public, if there were anywhere in public they would dare to read it, and too few to recite a proper Kaddish for the dead.

Although many of his Muslim friends and immediate neighbors know he is Jewish (“I’m proud, I’m Jewish, not ashamed. I’m not hiding,” he wrote at one point.), he was wary of being named because it could draw more dangerous attention to him or his friends. To protect him, he is referred to as Saleh’s grandson, because his or his father’s name would be too easily recognizable here. Interviews with him were conducted by correspondence over the course of several months.

He lamented that Jews in Baghdad had had no meeting place since the Meir Tweig synagogue, the last in the city, was closed in 2003, after it became too dangerous to gather openly.

“I do my prayer in my house because we closed the synagogue from the war until now. If we open it, it will be a target,” he wrote, adding later: “I have no future here, I can’t marry, there is no girl. I can’t put my kova on my head out of the house. If I’m out of Iraq, I’ll share with people in all our feasts and do my prayer in the synagogue and will be with my family.”

When one politically-protected group ("sexual deviants") goes head to head with another politically-protected group ("Muslims"), the only thing that could possibly ensue is teh awesomeness:

A Muslim man is threatening legal action against an all-female driving school in Britain after the company sent a transgendered man to teach his wife how to drive.

"You have sent me a man. Send me a proper female. How dare you send a man with a deep voice?" the unnamed customer told Joanne Dixon, who runs the Laugh 'n' Pass school [Ed.:—How appropriate.] in West Yorkshire.

According to the UK's Daily Mail, the instructor at the center of the dispute is Emma Sherdley, who up until a few years ago was known as Andrew Sherdley, a father of two children.

Once again, Islam rears its ugly head of hatred and intolerance. Had these girls been Muslims rescued from Christians, the Muslim hordes would have still rioted over the initial kidnappings. Another case of Islam's hypocrisy - do unto others, but if you do unto us, we'll kill you.

NINGI, Nigeria, May 19 (Compass Direct News) – Islamists under the auspices of a paramilitary force last week destroyed six churches to protest a police rescue of two teenage Christian girls kidnapped by Muslims in this Bauchi state town.

Police recovered the two Christian girls, Mary Chikwodi Okoye, 15, and Uche Edward, 14, on May 12 after Muslims in Ningi kidnapped them three weeks ago in an attempt to expand Islam by marrying them to Muslim men. Police took the two girls, who had been under foster care, to safety in southeastern Nigeria where their biological parents live.

Do you know what a Category Error is?

A Category Error is a problem that is so poorly defined it becomes impossible to solve. Dan Simmon's Time Traveler explains it well.

The Time Traveler sipped his Scotch and looked at me. He said, “Let me give you an analogy...”

I hated and distrusted analogies. I said nothing.

“Let’s imagine,” said the Time Traveler, “that on December eighth, Nineteen forty-one, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt spoke before a joint session of Congress and asked them to declare war on aviation.”

“That’s absurd,” I said.

“Is it?” asked the Time Traveler. “The American battleships, cruisers, harbor installations, Army barracks, and airfields at Pearl Harbor and elsewhere in Hawaii were all struck by Japanese aircraft. Imagine if the next day Roosevelt had declared war on aviation... threatening to wipe it out wherever we found it. Committing all the resources of the United States of America to defeating aviation, so help us God.”

“That’s just stupid,” I said. If I’d ever been afraid of this Time Traveler, I wasn’t now. I stopped. What had he called it? Category Error. Making the problem unsolvable through your inability – or fear – of defining it correctly.

I agree with 186kps' take on this:—If this were a Christian school, journalists throughout the nation would be calling for blood. There would be outcries from every corner, politicians would be giving speeches on the need to "crack down" on "intolerance" and "bigotry," and the school would've been shuttered within a matter of days.



Considering that this is a "culturally-correct" Islamic school, you can probably guess what the nationwide reaction has been so far:

From the Who saw that coming? file, it would appear that the pulpit we mentioned a few days ago is now being targeted by outraged Turks. [Ed.:—Okay, maybe not "Turks," so much as they're "Practitioners of the Religion of Peace."] Of course, rather than dealing with the problem (i.e., people who constantly rage against inanimate objects), Belgian authorities have decided that treating the symptoms is sufficient:

Since Friday, we have received threats while the authorities in Belgium, which has a large population of Turkish immigrants, fear that the pulpit and the church may be attacked. The Belgian press reported today that the police is guarding Dendermonde’s Our Lady church to prevent vandalism to church and pulpit.

While it's good to see that the Belgian government is taking steps to protect an historic church, it is genuinely heartbreaking to see Europe so afraid of actually confronting the root of the problem—A complete and utter inability to speak out against the destructive tendencies of the Religion of the Perpetually Offended. Notice, however, that the Belgian government has plenty of time to speak out against the "real" aggressors here:

According to the Belgian press the pulpit controversy has been deliberately caused by [the Brussels Journal], which is being described as “pretending to be neo-conservative” but run by “neo-fascists.” Piet Buyse, the mayor of Dendermonde, told the media that he deplores that the pulpit “figures on websites which aim to provoke negative reactions from Muslims.” The mayor said that the depicted man represents an unbeliever and may also be Luther or Calvin.

• Photo and a long-winded condemnation are printed in the front page of a radical Turkish newspaper
• Death threats ensue, leading to
• Inanimate object protected by police, who
• Lay the blame for all of this outrage at the foot of our poor tourist.

Seriously—why bother with comedy, when reality is so much funnier?

Islam - always a leader in promoting justice and tolerance...

Muslim villagers in Mymensingh district eager to rid the area of the Christian work of a local pastor have gang-raped his 13-year-old daughter, the girl's father said.

Pastor Motilal Das of United Bethany Church said that at around 3 a.m. on Friday (May 2) the villagers sexually assaulted his daughter, Elina Das, and left her unconscious in front of his house in an attempt to drive him and his Christian ministry out of Laksmipur village in Fulbaria sub-district, 120 kilometers (75 miles) north of the capital.

Local residents have long been angry with him for his ministry and evangelism, he said, and he has received death threats.

Fortunately, this child was not a Muslim, else she would have been stoned to death for having the audacity to allow herself to be gang-raped by a bunch of mis-understanders of the religion of Islam.
