Fifth Bombing in Lebanon: Averted!

The Syrians did not succeed in their fifth attempt to bomb Lebanon, thankfully.

An explosives expert checks a bomb placed in an empty can of baby milk powder [Ed.: I know, it's off-topic. If you're interested, there's more background here] about 500 meters (yards) away from the upmarket Rest House beach resort in the southern city of Tyre, Lebanon Wednesday, June 6, 2007. Military experts dismantled Wednesday a bomb that was placed near a popular public beach security officials said. (AP Photo/Mohammed Zaatari)

*Typical cowardly Arab tactic. These sort of disguised bombs were very common in Israel during the 60s and 70s, planted by Arab terrorists of course. I remember seeing ads in the cinema warning children not to kick stray cans or pick up empty cigarette packs because they might be bombs.

And putting the bomb by the beach? More of the same cowardly brutality. Such heroes these Arab terrorists.
