Still not back to my regular schedule, but with Iran marking their 27th anniversary with a giant nuclear celebration, how could I not take a moment to observe them?

Of course, with my own fair Commonwealth celebrating its four hundredth anniversary this year, maybe what I really wanted to say was this:

Iranians hold a portrait of Iran's late founder of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, during a celebration marking the 27th anniversary of Islamic revolution at Khomeini's mausoleum in Tehran. Iran kicked off a series of anniversary festivities for the Islamic revolution by shrugging off UN sanctions over its nuclear programme and urging national unity against US "conspiracies".(AFP/Atta Kenare)
Of course, with my own fair Commonwealth celebrating its four hundredth anniversary this year, maybe what I really wanted to say was this:
