Castro, Lord of the Left, rises again?
It would appear that my favorite diety of the Left has finally regained enough of his strength to appear in press photographs. LGF has raised some questions as to whether or not the photograph is staged, but from a look at the many photographs of the event, I'm not convinced. One thing that is odd, though: In the photograph where he's holding the issue of Granma, he's wearing a different outfit than in the entire series of other photographs. While that's not really all that suspicious by itself, notice that the background is also completely different than the ones in which he's seen in the hospital. Why would they go through the trouble of taking his photograph in a different location? Perhaps the "newspaper" photograph is taken at his home? I can't think of any other rational explanation.
The only other strange thing about the photograph is how much blank space there is at the bottom of the front page. I don't know about Cuba, but in the rest of the world, it's typical for newspapers to fill up the entire front page. Has anyone seen what "Granma" usually looks like? Is it usually like this?
I dunno. I'd tend to categorize this as "odd, but not necessarily fake."

Does "Granma" usually have that much blank space at the bottom?

The AP feed seems to be re-posted from Granma. Notice how low-quality the photograph is. Also notice the different outfit, and different background...
