Snapped Shot

The former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder has said in his memoir that George W. Bush is completely undone by his belief in God.

International reaction? I'd imagine he will be fête'd by world leaders around the globe. Other than that, it's pretty much been the usual crickets.

What would the reaction have been, though, had he been courageous enough to declare that Iranian President Ahmad-jabjab was the one that was undone by his belief in Allah? After all, there's much more evidence of Ahmad-y-pants going off the deep end than there is of George W. Bush being "wacky," is there not?

Gerhard the All-Knowing says, "The problem begins when political decisions seem to result from a conversation with God. If you legitimise political decisions in this way, then you cannot respond to criticism or suggestions by changing policies or introducing nuances." My guess is that ol' Blowhard missed a quote or two my favorite Iranian.

Of course, Schröder, like every other European liberal, lives in a world completely detached from reality. In their world, only Christians and Jews are at fault for all the terror in the world. Muslims (and, by supposition, all other non-whites) are completely blameless, and are never violent, except when in reaction to those evil white Christians.

It comforts me to know that liberalism is still a very severe mental disorder.
