Hmm. Was it something I said?

Some crackpot in Livermore, California has chosen to start harassing me by posting my home address here on Snapped Shot's comments forum. No telling where else he's posting it, but one thing is for certain: I have the IP address logged, and if it continues, the perp will be hearing from the FBI very soon. Trust me: You're in their jurisdiction now.

If you disagree with me, feel free to trash me in the comments section here. I've taken my fair share of beatings, and am always glad to admit where I'm wrong. (and believe me, that happens pretty often!) Up until now, I've never once deleted a non-spam comment from the threads here. Everyone is able to speak out here, whether they agree with me or not.

Cut out the cheap jabs. If you want to debate, bring it on. I won't be beaten into cowardice by your dirty tricks.

08:50 EST: There are a spate of pro-Hezbullah comments on the blog, according to my inbox. I approve them (auto-moderation is on after 3 days), and post responses that I feel are appropriate. IP addresses 220.223.177.232 (Melbourne, Australia) and 82.198.15.241 (Beirut, Lebanon).

09:33 EST: I notice CAMERA's article, and link to it. Then, I connect the dots with what CAMERA is saying and the previous comments, and point out that there might be a connection.

17:24 EST: Another couple of pro-Hezbullah comments posted to the blog, from a single person. IP address 211.31.40.119 (Sidney, Australia)

20:33 EST: Another post, possibly from the same person as before, but at a different address. IP address 211.31.21.27 (Sidney, Australia)

06:03 EST: Another pro-Hezbullah post, from IP address 124.184.149.158 (Sydney, Australia).

07:13 EST: I reply to these posts in an appropriate manner.

13:21 EST: Obscene, but non-threatening message posted to the blog, from 24.4.12.97 (Livermore, California)

13:25 EST: FIRST VEILED THREAT POSTED. Same IP address as above.

14:49 EST: A friend points out that it's relatively easy to find all of this information via ZabaSearch. Great...

I've tracked down all activity for the IP address, and it appears that it entered my site via LGF. Heads up, Charles!

15:03 EST: The offending IP address is visiting the website again. No comments yet, but he appears to have discovered the biography link above.

Troll: If you have something to say, say it. I will not moderate any comments you make, whether they trash me or not.

15:20 EST: Our troll considers himself a modern-day crusader against bigotry and prejudice. How does he accomplish his mission? Bigotry and prejudice. There's nothing "honorable" about pointing out someone's home address, and there's no justification in doing so. The comments you posted, troll, can *easily* be perceived as an investigable threat, and even if they are not *illegal* per se, you can still be rewarded with a visit from the FBI for it.

You've served no decent purpose in doing what you did, and there was nothing honorable about it. My politics are my concern alone - the fact that you feel compelled enough to threaten me into changing them tells me quite a bit about the extremism that undergirds your worldview, and if nothing else, it confirms wholeheartedly my own beliefs.
