Faux Press Conferences

Eagle-eyed reader Gretsida spotted something curious in this Reuters photograph of a "peace activist" news conference. I've blown up and cropped a portion of the photo [terms; contact] to illustrate this interesting find:

You won't be hearing much through these microphones...

In all, of the 23 microphones shown in this particular photo-op, 10 to 12 of them are disconnected. Could it be that these microphones were placed on the stand to give this terrorist-supporting mob the airs of credibility?

And, if Reuters participated in this photo-op knowing full well of this manipulation, does that mean that Reuters is complicit in this fraud?

Stranger things have happened, I suppose.

*Could they be wireless microphones?

*Wireless microphones: 1 2 3 4

I dunno - The two pins inside of the bottom of the mic on the left look exactly like what a microphone cord plugs into, rather than some kind of plug for a base station or charger.

Gretsida seems to know these types of devices, and says that these aren't wireless-capable microphones. I haven't got the foggiest, as I haven't worked with A/V equipment since around 1992 or so.

Not that it's changed all that much since then.. right? ;-)

Brian

*wireless units have a "wireless" device at the bottom of the mic.

You know, I don't give a flying flip about these pallies whining and crying about pallies arrested and put in prison by Israel. How about releasing those kidnapped Israelis first!!!!!!!!!

How about stop killing people and you won't get arrested.

I agree Brian, despite the show of microphones, Reuters and MSM are in bed and complicit with terrorists. The fact that they are there instead of taking a stand against giving terrorists a voice speaks volumes.

But then, the US gives them money hand-over-fist. And this is how they behave? You can't make them buy civility, morality and decency.
