Rage Friends Sighting!
I got an e-mail from a little soon-to-be-announced birdie, asking if I'd like to try out a new service that he's thinking of subscribing to that would allow something unspecified related to photo wire services—Which sounds fantastic to me, considering my history in the matter.
As an immediate test of this new service, here's a sighting today of some Friends of Shakeel "Islamic Rage Boy" Bhat in Srinagar—What else did you expect me to search for?—Imagine that: Rage Giant (L) and the Rage Pirate (R), both in one shot!

Jun 20, 2008 - Srinagar, Kashmir, India - Supporters of All Parties Hurriyat Conference during a protest in Srinagar. I'd say the service works fine, though the extremely huge image sizes are something of a concern to me, from a licensing perspective. Am I really licensed to display a 1745 x 2000 pixel graphic on Snapped Shot? Or is there something that I'm missing in the mystery image service's license?
I can scale the image down, of course—and most likely will, if I continue to make use of this service—but I still have some serious lawyer-related concerns about the whole concept.
In either case, I'm only authorized at present to showcase this picture to you for 30 days from now, so if you come back later and the picture's gone, you'll know why. I'm very impressed by this service so far, though!
Update: Can't be 100% sure about this, as it would obviously depend on a lawyer's interpretation on the matter, but I have a sneaking suspicion that I may inadvertently be in violation of this particular term of the Agreement:
Obviously, I don't intend to merely ridicule these professional protestors, but am actually trying to continue to illustrate that they are nothing more than repeated actors, whom the wire services treat as if speaking for all of Kashmir.
But, if said Company's lawyers suspect otherwise, they can just let me know, and I'll gladly clear things right up.
Update: I am required by license to identify the source of these photos as Newscom.

Without limitation, Subscriber shall not use and shall be solely responsible for use of any photograph or image in combination with Content covering sensitive subjects including, without limitation, topics that may depict the subject matter of a photograph or image in a negative light or subject persons to ridicule, and topics regarding all sexual issues, substance abuse, physical or mental abuse, alcohol, drugs, tobacco, AIDS, cancer, or other serious physical or mental ailments, or the disparagement of a person or product.
Pornographic, defamatory or otherwise unlawful use of Content is strictly prohibited, whether directly or in context or juxtaposition with specific subject matter.
