Snapped Shot

Always Watching the All-Seeing Eye

Ye Olde Crickets

My apologies for the silence today—I've been tied up IRL yet again. In the meantime, if any of you have thoughts on the State of Snapped Shot, I'd love to hear 'em. Do you find this site to be enjoyable? Is it at least a little bit informative? Anything you'd like to see us spend more time on, or less?

Or is there nobody out there reading this right now?

It's alright—I'm sure this isn't the first time I've been talking to myself. ;-)

Guilt By Association Or Guilt By A PC Agenda?

The Southern Poverty Law Center is understandably outraged by the employment of a woman with ties to the KKK:

An executive with an organization that tracks hate groups calls the employment of the woman, Chloe Black, an "untenable position" and "unbelievable."

Black, the ex-wife of former KKK leader David Duke, is now married to Don Black, the creator of the white-power hate site Stormfront. Chloe Black is currently employed as an executive assistant at Florida Crystals, a sugar conglomerate whose owners, the Fanjul brothers, have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to help build a new campus for Glades Academy.

Glades is a charter school for the children of African-American and migrant workers in Pahokee, a rural town in Palm Beach County. Billionaire Jose "Pepe" Fanjul's wife, Emilia, is chairman of the board of Glades Academy, and she hired Black to help promote the school.

Reports suggest that Black's salary from the school may be going to support her husband's activities on the hate site, as Don Black has had no clear source of income for some time.

But, just imagine for one second the woman in this story was a Muslim with ties to Jihadists, and she was employed at a non-Muslim, maybe even Hebrew, school. Exact same story, just a different background and different type of school.

Do you think this would be in the news?

Daily Dictator

Wow, look! It's a rare peek at the games dictators play:

"If you're happy and you hate America, clap your hands..."

I guess it's all fun and games... Until someone goes too far, and upsets the delegation of ninjas.

Bad things are bound to happen, my friend.

Zoinks, That's One Expensive Cigarette!

I dunno, I would've thought that the millions of dollars that goes into training each of our sailors would've "learned" them something about smoking near flammables:

SAN DIEGO -- (AP) - Navy officials say smoking appears to be the cause of a fire that caused $70 million in damage to the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS George Washington. ... Adm. Robert F. Willard, commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet, relieved the carrier's commanding officer and the executive officer of duty. ... [T]he investigation found unauthorized smoking appeared to have ignited flammable liquids and other combustible material that were improperly stored.

Could it be that when you relax some standards in a military setting—as we've undoubtedly done in the past 20 years, if stories of "pleasure cruises" through the first Gulf War were even half true—that this is the inevitable result?

Or is it merely further testimony that a ship can only be as good as her captain?

Psst. Mr. Deep Pockets?

Here's a free little tip to the Republican National Committee—If you want to speak to today's voters, sometimes it helps to try speaking to them in a language they understand:

If this video isn't played on TV at least once during this electoral season, then the terrorists will win.

March for Marijuana? A-Ok.

March for American history? No way, José:

The Sons of the Revolution are stalled in their efforts to hold the 225th anniversary parade on November 25, a Saturday. The New York City Police Department, which has jurisdiction over parades in the city, turned down the organization's application for a parade on Broadway from City Hall to the Battery.

"I'm concerned that every imaginable ethnic group gets to celebrate their pride, every year, on the main thoroughfares of this city. But we're not allowed to celebrate the end of the war that formed this nation and ensured our liberty as Americans. We only have this parade once every 25 years," the executive director of the Sons of the Revolution, Richard Gregory, said.

Actions like this speak volumes about the future of our nation.

Or the lack thereof.

Diversity: Police Manual Updated for ...

Responding to "Animal Sacrifices?"

Miami-Dade police officials plan to include in their 2009 handbook a note about how to respond to calls about ritual animal sacrifices.

Glad to see that, thanks to decades of mindless liberal indoctrination throughout our nation's schools, we're rapidly progressing all the way up to the 4th century.
