Human Rights Watch Is On The Case

Israel has announced that it will launch an investigation into the death of the Reuters cameraman, Fadel Shana. And this pleases the Human Rights Watch to no end. After all, HRW knows that the Israeli Army targeted the cameraman directly.

On Saturday, the New York-based group Human Rights Watch said its own investigation found evidence that the tank crew fired either recklessly or deliberately.

"Israeli soldiers did not make sure they were aiming at a military target before firing, and there is evidence suggesting they actually targeted the journalists," said Joe Stork, Middle East director at Human Rights Watch. The group called on the Israeli military to investigate.

International Herald Tribune says that he was killed during a day of heavy fighting.
Cameraman Fadel Shana, 23, was killed in Gaza on Wednesday, the bloodiest day of fighting between Israeli troops and Gaza militants in a month. Just before his death, Shana was filming an Israeli tank in the distance, and his final footage shows the tank firing a shell in his direction.

Three others, including two teens, were also killed in the incident. Palestinian medics said that two teens wounded in Wednesday's shelling died of their wounds Sunday. In all, 23 Palestinians were killed that day.

It would seem to me that any normal thinking person, that on a day of heightened aggressions by your enemies, would be completely understanding that accidents happen on the battlefield. I mean, there are any number of circumstances that could have befalled the cameraman. He could have been near a place that was launching rockets. He could have been launching the rockets earlier. He could have been videotaping the rocket launching. He could have been trying to videotape the two teens as they threw rocks at the Israeli settlers. He could have been just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Or, he could have been killed outright by the Israeli army on a day that they knew that they could have gotten away with it. Well, the HRW says they have evidence that he was targeted by the Israeli Army. Right?

Ok, as for evidence.. how about this small paragraph from the same article linked above....
Palestinian journalists have staged protests following Shana's death. On Sunday, several dozen journalists marched in the West Bank city of Ramallah. The marchers, including Palestinian Information Minister Riad Malki, were led by a group carrying a stretcher with a camera and a tripod. They carried a banner reading: "The occupiers are responsible for the blood of our colleague."

Want to see the march?? Click here. So, a march to protest the death of a journalist is part of a march to claim that the Occupiers are the ones responsible for killing Shana. Pretty unbiased for a bunch of "journalists" if you ask me. The question to ask is, are these real national journalists who work for MSM, or are they just the local yahoos whose opinions mean nothing in this mess? And if the latter, then what is the point of showing another group of terrorist sympathizers marching against Israel?
