...when I referred to Guantanamo as a resort. Of course, like all good jokes, it becomes distinctly less funny when one finds out that it's true.

The West will quickly lose the "war against terror" by coddling these monsters. And, in case you're wondering what I mean when I say "coddling," the report states that,

    Officials of the US Naval Stationat Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, told the House of Representatives Armed Services Committee that well-fed detainees gained an average of 6 pounds, and described mostly benign interrogations based on establishing rapport.


"Establishing rapport?" How in the devil do you establish "rapport" with someone who wishes to kill you and destroy your nation?

This incredible kow-towing to political correctness and leftist buffoons will be the death of us all.

(Ahem, UPDATE: And of course, I don't become any more comfortable after noticing that this article is over a year old, but still... When leftists accuse the United States of mistreating prisoners, just remember: We're "mistreating" them by giving in to only half of their demands. Cruel punishment, indeed...)
