More Photographers than Subjects
Whenever I see photos like this, I have to wonder if there's really that much of a story to be talking about. From the caption,
I count 8 photographers here (including Mr. Khan), versus 2 actual subjects (3 if you count the soldier who is almost out of frame). The subjects in question aren't even doing anything genuinely controversial, either. In light of yesterday's bombing in the same city, I wouldn't expect that anyone would have a problem with Indian officials—who do still govern the country, after all—stopping and searching people who are carrying bags that could be used to conceal more explosives. And the gentleman being searched doesn't seem to be that worked up about it, either.
Is this really such an important story that we need to outnumber the subject by an order of 4?
