Sorry for going local here, but that's what I am at heart anyway.

Can you guess which Virginia senatorial candidate needed to apologize for writing an article about how women don't belong in the military?

Kinda puts that media-created slur into perspective. It's rather humorous that neither the Washington (com)Post, nor the usual suspects feel the need to report on this story, after flogging George Allen over a "slur" which doesn't seem to exist in any dictionary I've found.
