Children Against Annapolis

It would seem that even the ever-peaceful youths of the Palestinian terror-tories are lining up against Annapolis. Who would've expected such a position, from such a peaceful specimen as this:

A young Palestinian Hamas supporter holds a toy gun as he and others gather during a protest against the upcoming United States sponsored Annapolis meeting, in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, Friday, Nov. 23, 2007 Israeli, Palestinian, Arab and world leaders are set to meet in Annapolis, Maryland next week at a U.S. hosted peace conference. The arabic text reads 'The is no God but God, and Muhammed is his prophet. ' (AP Photo/Hatem Moussa)

Far be it from me to state the obvious, but there is absolutely zero chance of success at Annapolis, considering that one side of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict has been raised for generations with an irrational hatred that can never be negotiated away.

*A post at Augean Stables indicates that the AP photo caption is more than likely wrong and that the kid is holding a real gun...

*Thank you very much for pointing that out, HR! I've replied over here: In a nutshell, I think it's clearly enough a toy. I'm no expert though, so anyone who knows better is welcome to disprove my allegation.

Most Respectfully,
Brian

*Hey there. Yeah, I gathered as much. The post has been removed from AS so I guess that makes the experts' assertions true.

*Hmm, they deleted the post? That kinda stinks... Lord knows I've been wrong on tons of occasions, but I've always thought it's better to correct things in-place, rather than opening my self up to being outed by The Archive...

Oh well. I'm glad I took the time to look at that more closely. Thanks again for bringing it to my attention! :-)

Regards,
Brian
