Daily Dictator

Happy Mondee to y'all. It looks like ol' Mahmoud "Nuclear Ambition" Ahmadinejad is as excited about this coming Thanksgiving as I am.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (L) gestures as Iranian Foreign Minister Monouchehr Mottaki listens during a press conference at the end of the OPEC summit in Riyadh, 18 November 2007. Ahmadinejad said that Iran never wanted to use oil as a weapon, but if the US attacked the country it would "know how to react." Incidentally, I can't get enough of the guy's veiled threats.

*I don't understand your "faux" outrage.

You find something about this surprising or objectionable?

That "if" we attack Iran, Iran won't let us have their oil, that shocks you?

Please cite for me a historical example of one country continuing to supply a key strategic commodity to an enemy after that enemy has attacked.

Surely you concede that the Bush administration is an enemy of Iran?

Why would Iran provide oil that could reach the United States if we attack Iran? Why would Iran provide motor fuel to a country that was waging war against Iran?

*J.C.,

I think you really need to get out more, and learn to relax. There's not an ounce of "outrage"—faux or not—in the above post. In other words: Lighten up, good sir. The boogeyman of war with Iran is not coming anytime soon.

It is curious to notice that you consider us to be the enemy of Iran, rather than the other way around... After all, we didn't attack our own Marine barracks, did we? Nor did we hold our own embassy hostage.

You see, to me, and just about every other red-blooded American like myself, those types of events would tend to set the offending nation apart as being the enemy, rather than the current Administration, who was not even elected at the time of said offence.

But hey, I'm a lowly nuance-free, "pro-America" American. What the heck do I know?

Regards,
Brian

*How many resources did China give to Japan after Japan attacked it? (granted it was taken) How many islanders provided resources to Japan? How many things does China supply to the USA? They are not exactly friendly.

How many items does Israel supply to the nations around it even after Israel had been attacked? And attacked? And attacked?

How many resources did USA and RUSSIA share during the cold war?

And yes... relax. Enjoy life. (while it lasts)
