Snapped Shot

Always Watching the All-Seeing Eye

Rage Girl

Original photo here. A different shot here. She really is the perfect match for Shakeel, isn't she?

If only she were closer to Srinagar—I'm thinking that she and Shakeel "Rage Boy" Bhat would be a match made in Outer Heck.

A Pakistani female lawyer chants slogans against Pakistan's military ruler President Gen. Pervez Musharraf who imposed emergency rule, in Islamabad, Pakistan on Monday, Nov 5, 2007. Police fired tear gas and battered thousands of lawyers protesting President Gen. Pervez Musharraf's decision to impose emergency rule, as Western allies threatened to review aid to the troubled Muslim nation. More than 1,500 people have been arrested in 48 hours, and authorities put a stranglehold on independent media.(AP Photo/B.K.Bangash)

*From what I can glean from all this shit that's been happening over the past few days, Musharref is just taking action to try and prevent these "militant islamists" (i.e terrorists) in the north from overrunning the country. These protesters show their true colors when they protest a necessary action to combat the terrorist scum. And the last thing they should do is call an election (which is what bhutto apparently wants). Do they honestly think that the polling stations would remain safe from attacks?

*A most astute observation, Clayton. Don't think that the terror-loving press will notice that little tidbit, though.

They can't seem to get past the whole "terrorists > civilised human beings" hang-up of theirs.

Regards,
Brian

I CAN SPEAK FRENCHY?

I like how the media are now calling Musharaf... MILITARY LEADER/RULER. When it comes time to overthrow a calm and peace-loving government, they try whatever they can to taint it and support their overthrow even if by terrorists.

while their response is not the way we would, it is common for muslim nations. So, would we rather have this guy and his actions... or to have terrorists and have them throw fits with Pakistan's nukes?!?!? Obviously the press can't think that far ahead.

Now would be the time to secretly give aid and comfort to Musharaf militarily and in return gain access to his tribal areas.
